As the morning sun rises over the campus, every ray of sunlight does more than illuminate classrooms—it helps inspire the next generation. Recently, the solar PV project invested in and developed by LSH Energy at the former Luyang Middle School in Kunshan (now Zhoushi Middle School West Campus) was awarded the “Low-Carbon Campus” Certification by the China Association of Building Energy Efficiency. The school has become the first middle school in China to receive this recognition, setting a new benchmark for sustainable campus development. More than a clean energy project, it represents a meaningful step toward environmental education and long-term sustainability.
At Zhoushi Middle School West Campus, rooftop solar panels are quietly transforming sunlight into clean electricity every day. The system is expected to generate approximately 712,800 kWh of renewable electricity annually, meeting around 80% of the campus's electricity demand while reducing carbon emissions by approximately 526 tone’s per year. Beyond powering daily campus operations, the project brings sustainability closer to students and teachers, integrating low-carbon principles into everyday learning and life.
